It’s essential that possums get banned from New Zealand as quickly as possible. Possums have been destroying New Zealand’s forest for decades.They have been eating Kiwi eggs and chicks and other birds offspring ,possums also make huge messes in peoples bins!. 

What possums look like 

Possums are medium sized marsupials which means that they have a pouch for their young to stay in until their old another to stay on their mother’s back.These marsupials also have sharp claws and these claws they have can be used to catch birds easily and claw our trees.Possums climb onto peoples roofs making lots of noise and sometimes causing damage to your roofing .

Possums killing native creatures and forest

Possums are scratching our trees, The Possums claws making the trees not be able to grow, This means that Birds Native to NZ have their homes attacked too. The types of birds the Possums attack most are the Kiwi,Kēreru and Tui which is terrible because Kiwi’s are already an endangered specie and every year we lose one thousand and forty Kiwis that’s 2% each week of the adult Kiwi Population and 95% of Kiwi chicks die before reaching an age to breed. mention the fact that Possums kill our native insects like the weta. Do we really want these Masupiles to destroy the nature we have? Of course not!

Possums should be eliminated from NZ with kindness

Possums have been a mistake in NZ nineteen forty six  meaning that they were bad for 78 years basically older then most peoples grandmas. By year two thousand two hundred and fifty commoner birds like Fantails, Wax eyes and Black birds will be a threatened species of NZ so if we don’t start getting rid of Possums we won’t have many rare birds and insects and trees will be dying quicker than ever! 

To finish off

In conclusion we shouldn’t have possums in New Zealand because they are destroying NZ’s wildlife, annoying humans and attacking other animals that we have as pets.

Sharks should not be killed

In my opinion sharks should not be killed because of their mistakes like biting out of their curiosity and the Great white shark may be the biggest meat eating shark in the world but it’s rare for them to bite.

Some species of sharks are under threat

If sharks are being curious why should we kill them, plus lots of friction from boats in the water. This can make the sharks want to attack, and imagine if you were a shark. You would feel all that friction meaning that there is food nearby you would want to go attack too.If we keep killing the Sharks we won’t have many sea creatures to keep the ocean in check!

It’s rare that sharks attack

Sharks don’t show and do intervention (attack/squabble) that much. In the last two decades in NZ there have only been three shark attacks and when they do attack we are mistaken for food so that means we shouldn’t kill sharks for confusion. 

The New Zealand government only protects 7 species

NZ only protects 7 shark species out of the 113 species swimming around the waters of New Zealand the sharks being protected are Great whites, basking sharks,whale sharks,oceanic white tip sharks and deep water nurse sharks

Last but not least

Therefore sharks should not be killed for their mistakes because they don’t mean too .Sharks don’t know all the friction in water is a person they don’t have rules like us.
